A note from one of our supporters...

I wanted to let you know that I attended both the 2007 and 2008 Wine, Women and Shopping Events. At both, I had a great time.

When I first heard about the event, I simply wanted to go and support My Sisters' Place. I thought it would be a very commercial event (shopping part) but decided that I would go anyways. Much to my surprise and great pleasure, the feeling within the room was NOT one of buy, buy, buy but one of Sisterhood.

My sisters are all in Alberta, and although we talk often on the phone, I still miss them.
What a surprise to discover I had many "sisters" within that room. In particular my close friends, but also many others that I met that night, including Nancy and Susan.

At the first one, I purchased several of the angel tokens, which on the back says "Always with you." I gave several of them back to My Sisters' Place but kept two. Of these, I sent one to my sister in Alberta and one I keep with me always. My sister took it and made a necklace, which she wears everyday. So, as you can see your event has truly been a celebration of sisterhood. A great event that I will be attending in the future. Please, let's keep celebrating sisterhood.
